SOLD- Pair of Cartier Lapis and Jasper Stacking Rings 18k/Sterling c. 1970, size 5
THESE RINGS HAVE BEEN SOLD.
This pair of stacking rings was made by Cartier circa 1970 and is a rarely seen design. A very fine cabochon of lapis lazuli and jasper, respectively, is set in a geometric 18k yellow gold bezel in a heavy, solid sterling silver band. These rings have a great feel to them, they're very smooth and weighty and as you can see, they look incredible on. The only downside to this amazing set is that they are size 5 and should not be resized. I'm not saying they can't be, but I recommend leaving them as-is and please note that our jeweler won't resize them. But if you're a size 5 and love Cartier then you are in luck, and this set will not disappoint!!
Measures size 5 and should not be resized.
Signed "Cartier" and stamped ".925" and "18k".
Measure 6.2mm wide at the widest (face) and taper to 2.3mm. Cabochons measures 8.2 x 6.2mm.
Jasper weighs 6 grams and lapis weighs 6.5 grams.
In very good condition, there is a very slight cracking to the lapis visible only under 10x magnification and it is stable and fine for everyday wear.
