Vintage HUGE Asclepius God of Medicine Hardstone Cameo Ring 18k

Wow wow wow WOW!!!  I can't wait to see who gets this super fantastic HEAVY, HUUUUGE vintage hardstone cameo ring!  Made in 18k yellow gold, this bad boy holds the most beautiful carved cameo of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine - identified by his rod with coiled serpent, a motif which later became the caduceus we associate with medicine today!  The son of Apollo and a mortal woman Koronis, Asclepius went on to have many adventures including learning the art of healing from said snake and was known to bring people back from the dead.   If you work in medicine, are a cameo collector or just love massive rings then take a chance and add this mysterious piece to your collection!

Currently size 9 and can be resized up or down slightly - please inquire for resizing options.

Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.

Face of ring measures just a touch over 1" north to south.  Ring stands .25" from the finger when worn.  Cameo measures 25 x 17mm.  

Weighs 27 grams.

In good vintage condition.  Small chip to the cameo as visible in photos.  Evidence of previous resizing.
