SOLD--Vintage Heart-Shaped Diamond 1.27ct Engagement Ring 14k c. 1980
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
The thing I hear most when people see this ring at the store is "I don't normally like heart-shaped diamonds, but that is such a beautiful ring!". And then they try it on and fall in love with it. This ring is that good! It is transforming the reputation of heart-shaped diamonds, one person at a time. This is a vintage ring centering a gorgeous heart-shaped brilliant natural diamond weighing 1.27ct with I-J Color and SI1 Clarity. As you can see in the photos, the stone is cut and proportioned beautifully. Not all heart shapes are pretty and this cut can have the same problem that marquise and pear-shapes have, which is a very flat look with no life or sparkle. But not this stone! It is alive in any lighting and has a very clean, crisp brilliance. There are two tapered baguette diamonds on the side weighing .14ctw with G-H Color and VS2-SI2 Clarity. The setting is a simple, elegant two-tone 14k and allows the heart-shape to be the center of attention. The woman who gets this ring will be so lucky, it is a dazzling jewel full of light and romance.
Currently this ring is a size 6 and can be resized as needed. Stamped "14k" with unknown maker's mark. This ring comes with an EGL USA certificate.
