SOLD--Vintage Diamond Lion Ring 14k c. 1950
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
There's so much to say about this great vintage lion ring! The first thing you notice is that there is a LOT of detail packed onto this ring and it is unusual in its design, with the lion's face quite small and leaving room for his mane. While the face may be small, it is very beautifully detailed and kind of cute! This is a friendly lion and that's okay, they don't all have to be fierce! You can see in the photos this ring has a very sculptural, three dimensional quality. I haven't seen one exactly like this before so I'm putting it at Mid-Century based on the diamond cuts and the construction. Nice and heavy and made in 14k gold that is polished on the high relief areas and matte in the recessed areas. Would make a great ring for a LEO, wedding band for an adventurous person or collection addition if you're like me and love all things figural!
Currently a size 6 and can be resized up to an 8 or down as needed--HOWEVER, please note that this ring is detailed all the way around and if it goes up in size you'll have an area where there is no detail.

Contains two natural brilliant cut diamonds weighing appoximately .02ctw.
Measures 11mm width north to south and tapers to 4mm.
