SOLD-Victorian Serpent Locket Sterling c. 1900

THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.

This gorgeously designed antique locket was made in the late 1800's and depicts and snake or serpent amongst the reeds.  The style is a bit Celtic, a bit Art Nouveau, a bit Scandinavian so its origin is unknown but what I do know is that it's fabulous.  And maybe a little haunted?  Inside there is a photo of a VERY INTENSE NUN.  I'm sure she was a very nice person!  Made in sterling silver and in great condition!

Stamped 'STERLING' and tested.

Measures 1 1/8" diameter.  Sterling chain measures nearly 20" and is a later addition.

Contains original frame and celluloid.  

In excellent antique condition.
