Victorian Rose Cut Diamond and Emerald Doublet Ring 14k c. 1880

Made circa 1880, this antique Victorian ring holds a natural Rose Cut diamond and a doublet--which is an old Victorian trick!--made of garnet and green glass to simulate an emerald.  We see these doublets often in Victorian rings and it is unclear if the original purchaser was ever aware that they weren't buying an emerald!  I actually love that this ring has its original stones including the doublet, that's how this ring was made 140 years ago and is part of the fingerprint of this piece!

Currently size 8 and can be resized as needed.  One resizing provided, please allow one week.

Measures 9mm wide at the widest part of the face.

In great antique condition, has previously been resized.
