Victorian Neo-Renaissance Necklace Silver Plate c. 1900
A gorgeous necklace from one of my favorite jewelry periods--the neo-Renaissance, or Renaissance revival of the late 1800's! Italianate in design with gold-washed cherubic faces and black glass cabochons in silver plate over brass. Made circa 1890-1900.
Measures 17" length. Sections measure 1" width x 1.25" length (black glass cab).
Not stamped or signed but tested.
Wear to the silver plate and gold wash in areas. Patina to the silver plate. Glass cabochons in good condition and all appear original. The clasp is in good working condition and is period, but may not be original.
