SOLD--Victorian Garnet, Ruby, Diamond and Enamel Band 18k, British c. 1870
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
This BEAUTIFUL Victorian band has the most wonderful color palette that I've seen on a ring in a long time! Three orangey-red garnet cabochons and two rows of pinky-red rubies and rose cut diamonds are set in 18k yellow gold. The ring has full British hallmarks for 1870. There are traces left of the original cobalt blue enamel, but as the band is dainty it is not very noticeable. What IS noticeable is that COLOR!! It's a really special piece and would look absolutely spectacular stacked with other yellow gold bands!
Currently a size 6.25 and can be resized carefully as needed as there is enamel work on the shoulders. If you are interested in this band, please let me know your size and I'll take it to my jeweler to make sure it can be done.
Band measures 5mm width at the widest. Please note this measurement as it appears much larger in the photos.
Overall very good condition apart from enamel loss. This enamel could be restored if you so choose, but the ring looks great as is.
