Victorian French Slide Chain 18k c. 1870

This is a beautiful albeit very short antique chain, made in France circa 1870 and featuring two very fine braided chains threaded through floral repousse balls.  All in 18k with French hallmarks. 

This chain measures 14" and sits like a true choker.  It is perfect for necklace layering and closes tightly with its original antique screw lanyard closure.

Stamped with French hallmarks for 18k and unknown maker's mark.  

Weighs 12.5 grams.

In excellent antique condition.  This chain would originally have had two tassels hanging which did not come with this piece.  Otherwise all original components are there and are extremely well-preserved!
