Victorian Amethyst Tassel Mourning Pendant 18k c. 1870

At one point we had a pair of matching earrings to this stunning, delicate pendant -- if you missed out on those here is your chance to have a piece of this beautiful set!  Made circa 1870's, this pendant has the same little secret that the earrings had--a compartment on the reverse to hold a lock of hair or small portrait!  This piece's compartment doesn't appear to have ever been used and there is still the original fabric backing present.

Measures a little over 1.75" length including bail.  Chain measures 16"

Pendant not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.  Chain not stamped but tests for 9k.

In excellent antique condition!
