THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.

This has got to be my favorite Victorian bookchain and locket that I have EVER seen--it is just so cool!  Especially the chain, which is unlike any other I've seen.  Made circa 1880, this set has a large and very, very intricately engraved oval locket suspended from a big ole antique spring ring which is attached to bookchain featuring four rows of ball link chain.  The greatest part of this chain, and perhaps the whole piece though the locket is killer, is the box clasp which you can see front and center above the locket.  It is also hand-engraved but done in almost an Art & Crafts or Secessionist style.  It is COOL, it just makes this very old piece a bit more edgy and I love the way it echoes the geometry of the chain.  Both the locket and chain are true antique works of art that you can wear!  It's gorgeous, pics don't do it justice so come in and see it if you're able.

Chain measures 16" wearable length with additional 3" length on locket and spring ring.  Locket measures 1.5" not including bail, measures 2 1/8" including bail.

Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.

Weighs 63 grams.

In excellent antique condition!
