These earrings are great, especially for those of you who love teeny tiny jewelry!  Made circa 1880, these earrings are comprised of cut steel fashioned in a horseshoe motif.  Cut steel has been used in jewelry as a diamond simulant for centuries and it saw a resurgence in the late 1800's.  As did tiny earrings!  Prior to that, the mid-Victorian period was rife with large, grand, pendulous earrings--but if you look at portraiture from the late 19th Century you'll see many women wearing small, delicate designs on their ears.

Measure 5/8 x 3/8" including ear wire.

Not stamped or signed.  Earwire is silver metal but not sterling.

In great condition!  All cut steel rivets bright and sparkly.

All purchases from Bavier Brook arrive in an elegant box, fully wrapped in fine paper. Please inquire for international shipping. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions, we are happy to answer them!
