Bavier Brook Antique Jewelry
SOLD-Monumental Vintage Biker Chain Sterling, Taxco c. 1970
SOLD-Monumental Vintage Biker Chain Sterling, Taxco c. 1970
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
Made circa 1970 in Taxco, Mexico, this vintage chain has that fabulous rectangular biker link that we've had in the store before in bracelet form--and that one went quick! I have not until now seen a necklace version of this link and one this long to boot! To say this chain is heavy is the understatement of the year. It's so heavy my scale goes "EEEEE" when I try to weigh it but I believe it weighs slightly over 200 grams, which is the max my scale can handle. If you've never felt a 200 gram necklace before, let me tell you--it ain't light. If you have neck problems do not buy this necklace. If you don't have necklace problems and want to wear the most badass chain probably ever, then buy this necklace STAT!!
Measures 28" length. Links measure 5/8 x 3/8".
Stamped "925" with maker's mark "EOL" and eagle mark for Taxco.
Weighs A LOT (see first paragraph).
In excellent vintage condition! There is no clasp on this necklace so unfortunately you can't double it.
