SOLD--Modernist Smoky Quartz Sculptural Ring Sterling, R. Wolf c. 1970

This INSANE ring is the best studio piece from the 1970's we've had so far!  This amazing ring holds an approximately 20ct tapered step-cut smoky quartz in a completely three-dimensional sculptural sterling silver mounting that rises high above the finger and looks super cool from every angle.  One of the most interesting things about this ring--and why it wears so well-is the waved band that works as a sort of cantilever for the front of the ring, keeping the piece upright and balanced when on the finger.  This piece is signed "R. Wolf" and though I wasn't able to find out more on this artist, I'm going to keep researching because they deserve to be recognized for this incredible piece.  If you are a fan of Modernist pieces and wear a size 6, take a chance and this ring WILL blow your mind!

This ring is currently a size 6 and can't be resized due to the design of the band.  The ring stands up a whopping 1" tall from the finger when worn.
