Modernist Diamond Wedding Set 14k (2 Rings) c. 1970
This wedding set is SOOOO COOL! Everyone at the store points it out but of course there is a caveat--it is tiny. At just a size 4 for both the engagement ring and the band, this set is looking for a dainty ring finger (or pinky finger!). This is a true Cinderella's slipper. A four prong-set .20ct Round Brilliant cut diamond with G-H Color and SI1 Clarity rises above a flat-sided geometric setting in 14k. The wedding band contains seven Round Brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .21ctw, prong set in a thin flat-sided band. As you can see in the photo, the rings match each other PERFECTLY. The shanks are faceted and the sides of both rings taper inwards. This set really shouldn't be resized, it would destroy this amazing Modernist design and throw off the balance. Calling all tiny hands--are you looking for the chicest wedding set of all time? Here it is!
Both rings are size 4 and should not be resized. Both rings stamped "14k" with unknown maker's mark. Weighs 8.2 grams total.
