THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
This is such a gorgeous and classic necklace, perfect for a bride or for anyone who just loves pearls--which if you don't, you should start! Having pearls near your face, whether earrings or a necklace, is incredibly flattering and has a brightening effect. This necklace was made circa 1940 and features two strands of cultured pearls which graduate very slightly from 5.3 to 5.6mm. There is also a lovely gilt sterling clasp with a late Deco-ish design! These pearls are a light ivory color and have thick nacre, are round and well-matched and very nice luster.
Measures just a hair under 15" length, so this necklace sits close to the throat and works best on a smaller neck.
Clasp is stamped "STERLING 925".
Pearls and silk in very good condition.
