Mid-Century Amethyst Cabochon Ring 14k c. 1960

This Mid-Century ring circa 1960 holds a beautiful amethyst cabochon, rich and deep in color with a warm glow in an ornate mounting of 14k yellow gold.  The design has a Renaissance-y look to it, which I always personally love and there was a Renaissance Revival in the Mid-Century period!  I also love the amethyst, which is a deep reddish-purple and has a certain mystique to it.  There's no reason why this couldn't be a an awesome alternative engagement ring!

Currently size 6 and can be resized as needed.  One resizing provided, please allow one week.

Stamped "14k" and tested.

Face of ring measures 17mm north to south.  

Weighs 5.5 grams.

In excellent vintage condition.
