Huge Mid-Century Diamond Suitcase Charm 14k c. 1950

There are a lot of people eyeing this vintage charm at the store--better snap her up quick if you're a collector because you won't be seeing this one again!  Fashioned as a jet-setter's suitcase, this large charm is made in 14k yellow/rose gold and set with six sparkling diamonds flanking the Eiffel Tower!  Stamps for Rome and London, a tiny little handle and engraved latches make this a sweetheart of a piece.  There is a hinge so originally this piece did open, but it has since been soldered shut and there is something rattling about inside.  My jeweler will not open it so I leave it up to the new owner as to whether they want to have it opened and find out what is inside!

Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.

Measures 1 3/8 x 1 1/4" (including handle).  

Weighs 15.77 grams.  

Contains six natural Round Brilliant Cut diamonds weighing approximately .30ctw with G-H Color and SI1 Clarity.
