SOLD--Edwardian Old Mine Diamond Cluster Ring Platinum/14k c. 1910
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
What a beauty!!! This romantic cluster ring from the Edwardian circa 1910 has it all! Centering an approximately .60ct Old Mine Cut diamond set in a 14k yellow gold bezel, surrounded in a swirly frame by even more Old Mine cuts--it's an Old Mine cut extravaganzaaaaa! The face of this ring is platinum and the gallery and band are 14k, very typical of the Edwardian era. This lovely heirloom would make a stunning engagement ring.
Currently a size 6 and can be resized as needed. One resizing is provided with purchase, please allow one week.
Face of ring measures 5/8" diameter.
Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.
Contains one central natural Old Mine Cut diamond weighing approximately .60ct with L-M Color and VS2 Clarity. Also contains ten natural Old Mine Cut diamonds weighing approximately .60ctw with G-H Color and SI1-I1 Clarity. All stones secure in their settings.
Condition report: We believe the bezel has been reworked and some yellow gold solder seeped into the prong areas of each swirl. We think! This is how the ring came to us. While this is very noticeable in the photos, in person it is actually quite lovely. If you love this ring and this bothers you, we can always rhodium plate the top for a white metal look.
