Don't you just love Art Nouveau?  I mean really, is there any period in jewelry that was more mystical and mysterious?  It was a short era, that produced such powerful, feminine imagery.  I always get a little chill when I see a great Art Nouveau piece, there is just nothing else like it.  This gorgeous brooch is no exception!  Quintessential Nouveau in design featuring an elegant goddess-like woman in profile with a crown of rose cuts and one Old Mine Cut diamond in 14k gold circa 1900.  I love the frame just as much as I love the lady!  Art Nouveau figural pieces like this one are getting harder to find and this would make an excellent addition to any seasoned or newbie Art Nouveau collector!.  

 This brooch is somewhat diminuitve compared to how it appears in the photos, measuring 1 1/8" x 1".  It weighs 4.0 grams and is stamped "14k" and has been acid-tested for metal content.
