Art Deco Jade Glass and Marcasite Bracelet Sterling, French c. 1920
Art Deco Jade Glass and Marcasite Bracelet Sterling, French c. 1920
This exquisite bracelet is wonderful example of early French Art Deco jewelry. Made in sterling silver with carved faux jade translucent glass cabochons and marcasite bar segments, it has all the delicacy and color of the high end French Cartier pieces from this era. I've said it before and I'll say it again--finer Deco marcasite and sterling pieces are becoming harder and harder to find, there really weren't as many of them made as it may seem! If you love this period and collect, this would be a great one to snatch right up!
Measures a very short 6" so this bracelet is for a small wrist only. There is a safety chain that also requires that you have a small hand, but we can either remove that or add a spring ring clasp so that you can open it up.
Measures 3/4" wide north to south.
Stamped with French hallmarks for silver and tested.
In good condition, one glass cabochon has been replaced with another more opaque faux jade piece, but it really doesn't detract in any way and a good job was done. This has been factored into the price. Other than that, this bracelet has been well cared for.
