SOLD--Art Deco Graduated Gold Venetian Glass Foil Beads c. 1930
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
These incredible, gorgeous, luminous Art Deco era Venetian glass beads came from a serious collector who knows her beads. She said they were the best she's ever seen and I would have to agree! This necklace measures 32" in length and the beads graduate from 3/4" to 5/16" and are very heavy--this necklace not only looks but feels like a quality piece. The beads are primarily gold and amber in color, but have flashes of violet, blue and pink for the most beautiful sunset-like contrast. I don't think it is a stretch to say that these are probably the most beautiful Venetian glass beads in existence! If you don't believe me, come in and judge for yourself--they will absolutely entrance you.
Newly restrung and individually knotted on gold silk. No clasp, this is an endless strand that slips over the head. Minor fleabites to some of the beads but no major chips.
