SOLD—MidCentury Moonstone and Sapphire Cocktail Ring 14k c. 1960
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
This ring has so much presence and it is much better in person than I was able to capture in the photos! I believe it was made in the 1960's but there's part of me that thinks it could be much earlier. Or perhaps it was an earlier element that was customized in the 1960's. It has that vibe. Made in golden and heavy 14k with rope twists throughout, this ring holds two blue moonstone cabochons and two triangular cut sapphires. It is big, it is tall and it makes itself KNOWN! Super chic and overall a really interesting piece for someone who likes more unusual pieces.
Currently size 6 and can be resized as needed. One resizing provided, please allow one week.
Face of ring measures 5/8" north to south and 3/4" east to west. Stands 1/2" from finger when worn.
Moonstones measure 11 x 7mm. One moonstone is slightly more adularescent than the other. Sapphires are deep blue and in good condition.
In overall good vintage condition. Evidence of previous resizing. Break to the bezel on one moonstone that is stable and not noticeable in person.
