SOLD--Mid-Century Brutalist Ring Sterling c. 1970
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
This is a VERY cool ring made during the Mid-Century Brutalist period consisting of a spiky, organic openwork rectangle with recessed gilt areas, made in sterling silver circa 1970. One of the things I love most about Brutalist jewelry is how truly crazy it looks on--you see this ring on someone's finger and your brain goes wtf is that? Which is exactly what Brutalism is supposed to do! It is now and will always be one of my favorite periods of jewelry--so short, so distinct and focused, there is no mistaking a Brutalist piece and I encourage anyone who is thinking of taking the plunge into wearing Brutalist pieces to just do it!!
Currently a size 8.75 and can be resized as needed. Off-round which will be fixed during resizing. One resizing provided, please allow one week.
Face of the ring measures 1 3/16" x 5/8". Sits flat on the finger.
