THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.

Here is another rare and collectible Georgian era mourning ring.  This ring features a gold "M" initial under glass over braided hairwork, with a frame of faceted jet in 12k rose gold.  On the back the inscription reads "MW Obt Sept 28 1808 AE 33".  What is interesting is that if you turn the ring upside down the initial is now a "W" and I do wonder if that was intentional.  A beautiful, historical remembrance.

Currently a size 6.75 and can be resized as needed.  One resizing provided, please allow one week.

Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.

Face of ring measures 13mm at the widest.  Band tapers from 5mm to 3.4mm.
