Fabulous Art Deco Diamond and Sapphire Ring Platinum c. 1920

The title for this post says it all - this ring is FABULOUS in every way and I know whoever gets it is going to be thrilled every time they wear it!  Made circa 1920, this beauty holds a sparkly Old Mine natural diamond weighing approximately .85ct flanked by two square cut natural sapphires set diagonally in the mounting.  First of all look at that Old Mine pillowing up over the setting -there are few things more pleasing to me than a chunky old cut diamond.   And those sapphires, whoa!  They have great light return and the color is gorgeous, they are a bit darker and more violet-y in color than the photos show.  And then we have the side stones: fourteen Old Mine and Old European Cut natural diamonds weighing approximately 1.30ctw and six calibre cut sapphires.  So folks, this ring is completely ENCRUSTED with gems and I am totally into it.  Come visit this stunner and fall in love!

Stamped for platinum and tested for metal content.

Face of ring measures 13.5mm north to south on the finger and 19mm east to west across the finger . 

Weighs 5 grams.

Contains one central Old Mine Cut diamond (natural) weighing approximately .85ct with F-G Color and VS2 Clarity.  Also contains fourteen Old Mine and Old European diamonds (natural) weighing approximately 1.30ctw with G-J Color and VS1-SI2 Clarity and two square cut natural sapphires weighing approximately .80ctw.
