SOLD--Edwardian Amethyst Paste and Faux Pearl Bracelet Gold-filled c. 1908
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
Not only is this bracelet beautifully designed, stylish and very evocative of its time period--it is also a normal to larger size! You hardly ever see this in a bracelet this old! As all true antique jewelry lovers know, most everyone was SO tiny back in the day and it shows in the sizes of rings and bracelets from the Deco period and back. Rings can usually be resized, but bracelets are as they are, so that is just one reason why this is such a great find.
This is an Edwardian bracelet in a Renaissance Revival style, with amethyst paste (glass) and faux pearls in a rich rose gold fill c. 1908. We know this bracelet is circa 1908 because it is stamped "S.O.B. PAT. OCT. 6. 08". The interior of this bracelet measures 2.5" x 2.25" and will fit a medium to larger wrist. The push button clasp is in intact and closes tightly. Great alone or stacked with other bangles for an antique feel. Whoever gets this one will love wearing it!
