Belle Époque French Guilloche Enamel and Diamond Locket Platinum/18k c. 1910

This may be the most popular piece at the store right now - a French Belle Epoque guilloche enamel and diamond locket made in 18k yellow gold with platinum details circa 1910.  If you haven't seen guilloche (pronounced gee-low-shay) enamel before let me explain a bit about how this amazingness is produced.  First you need an engine-turned surface that has been engraved with a special mechanical engraver to achieve that precise, wavy pattern.  Then layers of powdered glass are applied and heated to achieve this textured, holographic look.  Polish it to a shine and you've got one of the most beautiful jewelry styles every made.
