This may be the most popular piece at the store right now - a French Belle Epoque guilloche enamel and diamond locket made in 18k yellow gold with platinum details circa 1910.  If you haven't seen guilloche (pronounced gee-low-shay) enamel before let me explain a bit about how this amazingness is produced.  First you need an engine-turned surface that has been engraved with a special mechanical engraver to achieve that precise, wavy pattern.  Then layers of powdered glass are applied and heated to achieve this textured, holographic look.  Polish it to a shine and you've got one of the most beautiful jewelry styles every made. Guilloche enamel was popular in the mid-18th Century and then again in the late 19th and early 20th.  These pieces are rare and are truly miniature works of art - to see guilloche enamel is to love it forever!  To learn more click here!
