Darkly sparkly and mysterious, this beautiful antique bracelet features bezel set pyrite in sterling silver circa the Art Deco period of the 1930's. Pyrite is an iron sulfide mineral and has been used in jewelry dating back to the ancient Greeks and Romans - even if you haven't seen a pyrite druzy before you have most likely seen its cousin marcasite in jewelry, which has that same dark sparkle and was often used as a diamond substitute in antique jewelry. I snap up every antique pyrite bracelet I find because they are so lovely and wearable and just a little bit witchy and goth which I love!
Not stamped or signed but tested for sterling silver.
Measures 7.5" length x 3/8" wide (10mm). This bracelet can be shortened if needed and has loops for a safety chain which we can add or we can remove the loops per the new owner's wishes.
In excellent antique condition!
