SOLD-Art Deco Kite Shaped Diamond and Sapphire Ring Platinum c. 1930
THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.
This is an absolutely spectacular late Art Deco ring with all the glam Deco design you could possibly want AND a fancy cut diamond to boot! Made circa 1930's, this ring holds a central natural kite shaped diamond set next to a kite shaped natural sapphire of the same size. Flanking these two beauties are baguette and Transitional Round Brilliant Cut diamonds. This ring lays flat to the finger and is just wide enough to make a statement but not so wide that it becomes overbearing. All that geometric detail makes for a fascinating look on the hand and this would make a great engagement ring for a very cool person!
Currently size 7.25 and can be resized as needed. One resizing provided, please allow one week.
Stamped "10% IRID PLAT" and tested for metal content.
Measures a bit over 1/2" wide north to south at the widest.
Weighs 6.5 grams.
Contains one natural kite shaped diamond weighing approximately .50ct with F-G Color and SI2-I1 Clarity. Please note, this stone got a lower clarity grade due to damage to the points from wear. Also contains one natural kite shaped sapphire weighing approximately 1.13ct. This stone has also sustained some chipping to its end point. Also contains four baguette cut diamonds and fourteen Transitional Round Brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .62ctw with G-H Color and VS1-SI1 Clarity.
In good vintage condition. As mentioned above, this ring has been worn a loved and with that came a bit of roughness to the points of both stones. Please note this has been factored into the price. Both stones are still lovely and vibrant, and this is really only noticeable with 10x magnification under a loupe. Both are also very secure in their settings so this ring is stable and fine to wear daily!
