Art Deco Old Cut Diamond 1.85ctw Cluster Ring 14k c. 1940
New favorite alert!! This insanely gorgeous diamond cluster ring hails from the 1930's to early 1940's and has it all--dazzling Old European cut rainbow sparkles AND a central diamond so lovely and complementary of color that it takes this ring to the next level! In this beautiful ring we find a .70ct Transitional Round Brilliant, set in a yellow gold bezel with eight Old European cut diamonds surrounding. The center diamond is most likely a fancy brown diamond but I'm going to grade it W-X in color due to that yellow bezel, with VS2 Clarity. The Old Europeans are G-H Color and SI2 Clarity. Put them together and you've got one amazing Deco ring! The setting is 14k white gold and sits very flat to the hand for those of you who want that cluster to sit LOW. And as you can see in the photo, it is so, so flattering on the hand. When this ring came in I put it on and test drove it for a bit--I'm going to tell you, it was pretty fun. And I already have a great cluster ring, but this one made me think twice! Whoever gets this beauty will LOVE looking down at their hand, looking in the mirror, catching a glimpse in a window--you can see this one from across the room guys!
Currently a size 6 and can be resized as needed. One resizing provided with purchase, please allow one week.
Face of ring measures 15mm diameter. Band tapers from 3mm at shoulders to 1.5mm at back of shank.
Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.
All stones secure in their settings, prongs in good shape!
Condition note: It is possible that the center stone was either reset in yellow or changed. This was not done by us and this is how the ring came to the store. The central diamond cut is period to the rest of the ring, so it will remain a mystery!
