Art Nouveau Enamel Slide Mirror Lady Locket Gilt Silver, European c. 1900

One of my favorite pieces we have EVER had at the store, this next level mirror locket was made circa 1900 and depicts a very cheeky lady in hand painted enamel on a guilloche enamel background gilt silver.  Just zoom into that face -the masterful artistry draws you into her world and her expression deepens the closer you get.  She appears to be holding a fur around her shoulders, but is she undressing?  Considering the come hither look on her face it is possible that this is a piece of late 19th Century erotica.  Whatever the meaning, this is an absolutely incredible piece that anyone would be lucky to add to their collection!  Viennese import marks, most likely French or German in origin.

Measures 1 7/8" x 1 3/8".  

Stamped with import marks for Vienna, Austria circa 1900.  Tested for metal content.

In excellent antique condition.  Some wear to gilding.  Enamel in immaculate condition.
