THIS PIECE HAS BEEN SOLD.

This visually wonderful bracelet is a German made Art Deco era piece circa 1930, designed as a coiled snake with enameled head and scales.  The enameling is done in a vibrant spring green and lilac purple and let me tell you, this color combo works--it is very striking, no pun intended!  We've had a couple of these enameled German snake bracelets over the years but this one is a step above, as they usually are made in rolled gold--this bracelet is in gilt sterling and has a higher level of quality of construction and workmanship.  It feels like very well-made piece and this is typical of German silver work from this period.  There has been quite a bit of enamel loss over the years and this is just something we have to accept, but it is still an exquisitely beautiful piece and the result of the enamel loss is a more golden, neutral tone with bursts of color.  It is a flexible piece that will fit a small to medium wrist and still maintain that great coiled-around-your-wrist look!

Stamped "STERLING" and "935" and tested for metal content.

Weighs 40 grams.

1 1/8" width at the widest from head to bottom coil.
