Big Men’s Mid-Century Garnet Cabochon Signet ring 14k c. 1960
This is a really elegant men's signet ring featuring a gorgeous and very large cabochon garnet set in a heavy 14k gold mounting circa 1960. Please note this garnet is not purple-red as seen in the photos, it is more red with a hint of orange. When the sun comes back out I'll take some photos to capture the true color! Overall the appearance of the stone is very dark with glimpses of color at different angles and lightings. Spatially this ring is incredibly pleasing to look at, as the garnet takes up nearly the entire face of the setting and balances very beautifully with the mounting. This ring would make a special and interesting alternative wedding ring!
Currently size 7.75 and can be resized as needed. One resizing provided, please allow one week.
Stamped "14k" and tested.
Weighs 16 grams.
Face of ring measures 7/8" north to south. Stands 7mm from the finger when worn.
Garnet weighs approximately 13ct.
Condition note: There is wear to this ring, only adding to the character. There are light scratches to the top of the garnet. The shoulders of the mounting have minor scratches which can be left, or polished out (I personally would leave them).
