Art Deco Pools of Light Rock Crystal Necklace Sterling c. 1930
I found it very tough to capture a good photo of this necklace because it kept rolling all over the place! The best and most accurate depiction of what this magical piece looks like in real life is the shot of it on. They don't call them pools of light for nothing! Made in the Art Deco era circa 1930, this necklace holds undrilled orb-shaped rock crystal quartz stones between floral bead caps. Unincluded rock crystal, when fashioned as an orb, exhibits the most wonderful optical property when light hits it at the right angle--it glows! Pools of light necklace were mostly imported from China during the late 1800's to late Deco period and are becoming very scarce. Try one on and you will be hooked!
Measures 16.5" length and can be extended if needed. Orbs measure 13mm diameter.
In very good condition.
