Vintage Nepalese Dragon with Amethyst Brooch Sterling c. 1960

This gorgeously designed dragon brooch was made in Nepal circa 1960's.  Full of movement, this dragon holds a pear cut natural amethyst in its mouth.  As you can see in the photo, this brooch looks amazing on!  It has a big look but is not heavy, so it won't tip down or pull your sweaters.  Do you need a little dragon friend to hang out with you and make your outfit look more fabulous?

Measures 3.5 x 2".  Amethyst measures 15 x 10mm.  

Stamped "NEPAL 925" with unknown maker's mark.

Amethyst in good condition with minor nicks and scratches visible under magnification.  Pin back in good working condition.
