Vintage Large Amber and Marcasite Bug Brooch Sterling, Germany c. 1930

A large and striking brooch from 1930's Germany designed as a large bug (I have stared at this piece for a long time and still can't figure out exactly what kind of bug it is!) with amber cabochons for its body and marcasite studded wings!  Made in sterling silver with gilding on the body.  It's a great piece for those who love figural jewelry and it looks fab on a jacket!

Measures 2.75 x 1.75".  

Stamped "STERLING GERMANY" and tested for metal content.
