This is a striking necklace of two married components, both dating to the 1880's Victorian period.  The medallion is a conversion from a brooch and contains six Scottish agates and six glass stones, with the central stone also glass.  It is suspended from a beautifully patterned bookchain necklace with a great old spring ring clasp and toggle.  This necklace is very versatile as the pendant can be removed and put on a chain, or the collar worn alone or with another pendant!

Collar measures 17" in length with a 2" drop.  Pendant measures 1 5/8" in diameter.  Collar is stamped "STERLING" and all components have been acid-tested for metal content.  Minor chipping to central glass stone and to agates.
