Another gorgeous Mid-Century enamel bracelet by David Andersen of Norway--I love having these in the store! Really I love enamel in general and I was just having a discussion about how enamel is as special to me as any gemstone. So few people know how to do enamel now, it's a very difficult and complex process and the jewelers of yore that did it well are some of my favorites of all time. David Andersen, famous for both his Modernist pieces and enamel work, is a prime example of vintage enamel work done perfectly. In this piece, blue enamel has been layered over engraved sterling plaques to give the piece a guilloche feel. Elaborate blue and white enamel floral segments add that traditional Norwegian flavor to the piece. Colorful and wearable, it's a wonderful vintage piece to add to your enamel collection!
Measures 7 3/4" length x 1/2" width.
Stamped "D-A 925S NORWAY STERLING" with maker's mark for David Andersen.
In excellent vintage condition with enamel fully intact!
