Edwardian Purple Enamel and Marcasite Locket Sterling c. 1910
A beautifully made, romantic turn-of-the-century guilloche enamel locket studded with sparkly marcasites and an enamel chain in sterling silver circa 1910. Usually this style of locket is French and this one may very well be, but it is simply marked "sterling" on one of the connector rings. This locket has an extra sweet surprise in its original photos, which are of the most lovely couple! They have a good vibe to them don't they? You can always leave the photos in and put yours on top, I've done that several times with my own antique lockets!
Locket measures 1 5/8 x 1 1/8". Entire drop measures 3 3/4". Chain measures 18".
All marcasites intact. Some enamel loss to chain and bottom left of locket face. Locket closes tightly.
