Vintage Brutalist Boulder Opal Ring Sterling c. 1970
This cool 1970's ring holds one very interesting stone! Set in a sterling silver Brutalist mounting is a boulder opal, which is an opal still surrounded by the natural host rock it grew in. If you've seen the movie Uncut Gems, that is an example of an opal still within its host rock - though hopefully this opal doesn't have quite the same energy! Overall just a super interesting stone to look at and because it is set in a ring versus a pendant or brooch, you can look down and see it any time you like!
Currently a size 8 and can be resized as needed. One resizing provided, please allow one week.
Face of ring measures 7/8" north to south and 3/4" width.
Stamped "925" and tested for metal content.
