Art Deco Platinum Setting for 1.00-1.50ct Diamond c. 1940
Normally we don't carry just settings at Bavier Brook, but we have two that just came in that were too good to pass up! This is a genuine Art Deco era platinum setting circa 1940. The split-prong basket can hold a round cut stone measuring 6.5-7.5mm in diameter, or a 1.00-1.50ct diamond approximately. The entire ring is in excellent structural condition and the split prongs are original so a skilled setter would not need to retip. The band is a little wavy in the back but this can be corrected during sizing. There are two round brilliant cut diamonds weighing approximately .15ctw on the shoulders with G-H Color and VS2 Clarity. The shank is stamped "10% IRID PLAT". Size 6 and can be resized as needed. Weighs 4.4 grams.
Please note: this listing is for the setting only, this ring does NOT come with a stone.
