Art Deco Pearl Earrings Gold Fix, French c. 1930
These lovely and dainty earrings were made in France during the Art Deco period in gold fix--which is a French style of gold fill and is made with a very thick layer of gold, often over sterling. These Deco earrings contain small pearls and have a subtle Deco design to them. And don't let the backwards-through-the-lobe aspect dissuade you, once you get the hang of it it is no problem--and then the world of French antique earrings is open to you! A perfect pair of everday earrings!
Measure 5/8" length.
Stamped "FIX" with gold testing as 14k.
In good vintage condition, closures work well. One pearl has a crack to it, not noticeable except under 10x loupe.
