Art Deco Old European Diamond Square Filigree Ring 18k c. 1920
Lacy as can be, this ring looks light as air yet it has substantial presence and is soooo sparkly! Centering a .15ct bezel set Old European cut diamond surrounded by four curved and striped filigree leaf shapes, the face of this ring is one of the most unusual I've seen. There are an additional sixteen old single cut diamonds, four on each side and set very finely and weighing an additional .12ctw. Leaf and scroll motif filigree climb along the gallery and shoulders of the ring. Even though there is a great deal of filigree and openwork, this ring sits very flat to the hand for that elegant Deco look. Beautiful, romantic and very unique, this Art Deco ring has survived nearly 100 years to shine on the hand of a lucky lady once more! If you're looking for a larger look in a vintage engagement ring, but don't want something chunky, this may just be your ring. Also excellent for filigree lovers who are looking for something special in an engagement ring!
This ring is currently a size 6.5 and can be resized as needed. There are no metal marks or maker's marks on this ring, but it has been acid-tested for metal content. The face of the ring measures 12.5mm from top to bottom.
