SOLD-Art Deco Old European Diamond .41ct and Sapphire Wedding Set Platinum c. 1927

This is a beautiful Art Deco wedding set with the wedding band soldered to the engagement ring and I just can't bear to separate them!  That being said, they can be physically separated but I would LOVE to sell the two as a set.  This set has REALLY good juju and I want to keep the two pieces together.  Set with a central Old European Cut diamond weighing approximately .41ct with calibre cut sapphires and Old European Cut diamonds in the shoulders, this ring also has gorgeous openwork on the gallery and engraving on the sides.  I love the band-like design of this engagement ring too, it is so modern now and it was extremely modern in the 1920's!  The wedding band contains five Single Cut diamonds set in an engraved band made by Traub for their Orange Blossom line.  Both ring are made in platinum.  The wedding band is engraved "3-5-27" with worn initials that are now illegible.  It's an incredibly romantic set, worn as loved through what I bet was a long and happy marriage!

Currently size 5.5 and can be resized as needed.  One resizing provided, please allow one week.  We will also separate the rings at no extra charge if the new owner prefers.

Wedding band stamped "IRID PLAT" and both rings tested for metal content.  Wedding band signed with maker's mark for Traub and Orange Blossom.  

Engagement ring measures 5.8mm width north to south at the widest and tapers to 1.5mm at the back.  Wedding band measures 1.5mm width.

Engagement ring contains one natural Old European Cut diamond weighing approximately .41ct and graded F-G Color and VS1 Clarity.  Side diamonds weigh approximately .08ctw with G-H Color and VS Clarity.  Also contains eight natural calibre cut sapphires.  Wedding band contains five Single Cut diamonds weighing .05ctw with G-H Color and VS Clarity.

Set weighs 4.5 grams.

In excellent vintage condition!  Engagement ring has been reshanked, I wouldn't be surprised if this was also a Traub ring but any marks are long gone.
