Description

Let me tell you something, you don't see a Victorian necklace like THIS every day!  This exquisite necklace was made circa 1870 and features EIGHTEEN hand carved queen conch shell cameos of graduating size with alternating bacchante and cherub motifs, backed by 14k gold.  Most likely a souvenir from the Grand Tour, this is as Victorian as it gets!  Absolutely ethereal when worn and would make the most amazing, AMAZING necklace for a bride!

Measures 18" length.  The largest cameo measures 2 x 1 5/8" and the smallest 3/4 x 5/8"

Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.

In good antique condition.  Light wear to several of the cameos.  One cameo has been expertly repaired (pictured).  Central large cameo may have been remounted at some point.  This has been factored into the price.
