Fantastic Victorian Acorn Collar Sterling Silver c. 1870
PERFECT fall/winter piece! This is a Victorian necklace circa 1870, designed as a full bookchain collar of sixty-one acorns that fan around the neck when worn. It is really special and a hard-to-find style, though acorns were a very popular motif during the Victorian period as the oak was a symbol of strength.
Measures 17" length and 9/16" width. Not stamped or signed, but acid-tested for silver content.
