Victorian Sapphire and Old Mine Diamond Cluster Ring 18k c. 1890
Ah what a lovely ring! This late Victorian to early Edwardian ring is that most desired of designs--the cluster! Set with a central natural oval cut sapphire and surrounded by a frame of Old Mine cut diamonds in 14k yellow gold. This ring is a on the daintier size and would make a perfect engagement ring for someone who wants an antique cluster but tends to like smaller pieces.
Currently size 8 and can be resized as needed. One resizing provided, please allow one week.
Stamped "14k" and tested.
Face of ring measures 10mm north to south.
Contains one natural oval cut sapphire weighing approximately .35ct and eight natural Old Mine cut diamonds weighing approximately .60ctw with L-M Color and SI1-2 Clarity. These diamonds don't get their color grade because they're yellow, they're more of a grey color (which I personally love!).
In good antique condition, some wear to prongs. All stones secure. Sapphire lightly abraded at table facet junctions.
