Art Deco Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Ring 18k, Lambert Brothers c. 1920
This beautiful Art Deco engagement ring is for the sapphire lover! An oval cut dark blue 1.60ct natural sapphire is low set in a hand-worked mounting of 18k white gold. Two Old European cut diamonds weighing approximately .10ctw sit on either side and let me tell you, the balance of this ring is fantastic--from the size and shape of the center stone (the original stone!) in proportion to the side diamonds, to the delicate way they are set and all of the gorgeous work on the mounting, this is the ring that stuns from every angle. Can you tell that I love it? From the first moment I saw it!
Currently a size 7 and can be resized as needed. Stamped "18k" and "LAMBERT" for Lambert Brothers. Measures 9.5mm at the widest, face of the ring measures 14mm length. Sits a little under 4mm up from the finger when worn--very low and wearable. Diamonds grade I-J Color and VS2-SI1 Clarity. The sapphire is very deep blue and the photos are accurate for color and light return. Sits beautifully with a band!
