Description

This exquisite Victorian micromosaic brooch circa 1880 is one of the nicest that I've seen and depicts a classical landscape made up of tiny, fitted pieces of glass called tesserae.  Micromosaics were often purchased as souvenirs in the late 1800's to commemorate a trip to Italy and this one was well cared for with all of its tesserae intact, frame and pin back in great condition.  Meaning it is ready to be worn once more, by you!

Measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/2".  Pin back extrends an additional 3/16" and can be shortened if the wearer desires.

Not stamped or signed but tested for metal content.
